Supported Platforms AutoCAD 2019 supports the following platforms: Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7 SP1, Windows Vista SP2, Windows XP SP3, and Windows 2000. AutoCAD also supports 32-bit and 64-bit editions of Windows 7 and Windows 8.1. In addition, AutoCAD 2019 is also available for macOS as well as Android devices. The reason for support on some older platforms, such as Windows XP SP3, is that the company will not release a legacy (32-bit) version of AutoCAD for these older operating systems. Legacy platforms were forked in 2011, when the company announced support for Windows Vista. AutoCAD 2016 and earlier versions are not compatible with Windows XP SP3. AutoCAD 2019 is the first version of AutoCAD that doesn’t support Windows 2000. The New AutoCAD 2019 Productivity Pack AutoCAD 2019 was released without a productivity package. In fact, it’s the first version of AutoCAD that doesn’t offer the DGN (Drafting and Graphics) feature set. AutoCAD 2018 did include a limited set of DGN tools, but these were part of the AutoCAD Education Edition. There are a couple of reasons why the company made the decision to forego the DGN package. First, it’s somewhat of a hassle for most people to migrate from an older CAD product to a new one. The second reason is that the productivity set in AutoCAD 2019 is generally more relevant to industries such as construction and architecture than DGN. Thankfully, the company didn’t skimp on other productivity features.
